First-Time Setup

Connect AffTrack to Supabase

AffTrack uses Supabase as its database so all staff automatically get the latest data, staff accounts, and brands — no file exports needed.

One-time setup (5 min):
1. Go to supabase.com → Create a free project
2. Run the SQL schema (copy below) in the SQL Editor
3. Go to Settings → API → copy your Project URL and anon key
4. Open this HTML file in a text editor, paste them into SUPABASE_URL and SUPABASE_ANON at the top of the <script> section

🔑 How to Get a Google API Key

Takes about 3 minutes. You only do this once.

Go to console.cloud.google.com → Create a new project (or select existing).

Search for "Google Sheets API" → Click it → Click Enable.

Go to APIs & Services → Credentials → + Create Credentials → API Key. Copy the key (starts with AIzaSy...).

Click the key → Under "Application restrictions" → set to "None" (or add your exact domain if hosted).
⚠️ If you set this to "HTTP referrers" and add a domain, it will block requests from any other domain including file:// — this causes "Failed to fetch".

Under "API restrictions" → select "Restrict key" → choose Google Sheets API only. This limits WHAT the key can access, not WHERE from.

Share the sheet: Anyone with the link → Viewer, OR use an API key from the same Google account that owns the sheet.
